Our cleaning methodology is tailored to the configuration of each array and the agreed scope of work. This is established following an initial site survey to establish the level of soiling, client brief, physical and environmental conditions, safety and budget.
Mechanical and manual cleaning is completed using Pure Water to achieve a crystal-clean finish. According to the level of soiling a mechanical or manual technique will be used. Biodegradable cleaning and protection agents are also applied in accordance with the recommendations of our survey and the agreed scope of work. Our cleaning solutions and WashProtect treatment are biodegradable, safe for plants and animals and approved by all major manufacturers of solar panels.
We offer scaled discounts on multi-year and multi-site service agreements. Our cleaning and inspection packages are based on three core options tailored to your requirements following on-site surveys.
- Pure Water CleaningOption 1 - We use Pure Water to ensure your array is cleaned without leaving water spotting. We purify local supply when operating on-site. Our Pure Water system is optimised to only use the required amount of water to ensure your array is completely clean yet does not waste natural resources.

- Pure Water Cleaning with WashProtectOption 2 - WashProtect is continually gaining popularity through its proven ability to extend cleaning cycles. Annual cleaning is typically sufficient with the application of WashProtect. This cost-effective, environmentally friendly application reduces static in the panels, reducing the ability for contaminants to bind to the panel surface. This is critically important in preventing algae and lichen growth. WashProtect is approved for use by all major panel manufacturers ensuring warranties are protected.

- Lichen and Heavy Fouling Removal:Option 3 - Lichen removal and bird fouling requires specialist cleaning and is time time-intensive. Arrays have to be cleansed at close proximity and may need elevated access to achieve this. A systematic process is followed, initially softening the panel soiling with a specialist cleaning solution followed by either mechanical or manual cleansing. We use environmentally friendly solutions that are fully biodegradable and can be safely applied without affecting plants, animals or damaging panels, frames or property. Due to the damage lichen growth and bird fouling can cause we strongly recommend thermal imaging to be completed following cleansing to identify any consequential damage. This is also a logical time to install bird deterrents if fouling has been an issue.

This non-invasive method enhances safety, reduces the risk of damage to panels, and offers early warning of potential issues.
We provide full-colour outputs indexed to individual panels for post-survey identification. Surveys can be undertaken on complete installations or specified panels for snapshot analysis. This service is provided as an additional service option completed during cleaning or as a standalone inspection.
